Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida hosted a Successful and Magnificent Gala and Announced El Josco Awards Winners 2023


The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida (PRCCCF) hosted a successful and magnificent gala that gathered around 500 community leaders and business executives at Caribe Royale Resort to jubilantly celebrate and recognize the entrepreneurship and contributions of outstanding Hispanic and Puerto Rican leaders at El Josco Awards Gala.


The number of attendees and the support of renowned sponsors has increased remarkably this year, making this year's gala edition the most concurred one yet. This prestigious awards ceremony stood out for its elegance, well-organized program, beautiful tropical-style decoration, first-class live entertainment, and the exciting announcement of El Josco Awards winners.



This year’s El Josco Awards recipients are:

  • Communications: Jackie Méndez, General Director of Tu Revista Mujer
  • Education: Sonia Ledger, Teen Parenting Program Coordinator at OCPS Alternative Education Centers
  • Health: Dr. Ramón L. Rodríguez, Physician, Neurologist
  • Community Service: Angel Tosado, President of Mind Credit, LLC
  • Entrepreneurship: Ivelize Santiago, CEO of Prime Time TV
  • Professional of the Year: Rosa Ruiz-Bunker, Store Manager at TD Bank
  • Women-Owned Business of the Year: Vanessa’s Coffee Shop, Vanessa Ortiz
  • Small Business of the Year: El Cilantrillo Restaurant, Hiram and Dianne Turull
  • Lifetime Achievement Award: Nancy Rosado

During the event, El Josco Awards Chair Luis M. Martinez expressed his excitement about seeing a diverse audience from different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, which reflects the diversity of our community. “I thank the support of our sponsors and collaborators who worked collectively to present an upscale event that lives up to what our community expects and deserves,” Martinez stated.



“The chamber is celebrating 26 years of being the voice of small businesses in Central Florida by ensuring the region has a vibrant and prosperous economy where entrepreneurs can thrive and pave the way for new generations to come,” PRCCCF President Jorge H. Figueroa said.


The entertainment of the evening was provided by Violinist Gabriel Rodriguez, Opera Orlando, C.A.M. Dance Company, and Metro Latino Band. Ybeth Bruzual 

Spectrum News 13 Anchor, and Kirstin Delgado, WFTV Channel 9 News Anchor, served as the Mistresses of Ceremony.
