“Señora Acero” Pronto por Telemundo.

Telemundo Studios anuncia el inicio de grabaciones de la producción original “Señora Acero”, protagonizada por Blanca Soto en su debut en las pantallas de Telemundo. Escrita por Roberto Stopello (“La Reina del Sur”) y dirigida por el actor y director Miguel Varoni y Walter Doehner (“La Reina del Sur”), la súper serie cuenta con un elenco estelar que incluye a Andrés Palacios, Rebecca Jones, Litzy y la participación especial de Damián Alcázar. Grabada en diferentes locaciones de la República Mexicana, "Señora Acero" narra la historia de Sara Aguilar Bermúdez (Blanca Soto), una mujer extremadamente bella, carismática e inteligente que pasa de ser un ama de casa con una vida ordinaria, a ser la persona capaz de sacudir los cimientos de un gobierno.  

Tras el inesperado asesinato de su marido Vicente Acero, Sara se entera de que su difunto esposo no era el hombre que ella pensaba. A partir de ese momento, su vida y la de su hijo, se convierten en una interminable carrera para evadir a las autoridades y los enemigos de su marido.

Al inicio de su nueva y complicada vida, Sara conoce a Aracely (Litzy), una joven guapa, coqueta, apasionada y generosa que tiene una adicción terrible a las drogas pero quien se convierte en su mejor amiga. Sara no estará sola y el amor volverá a tocar a sus puertas con Eliodoro Flores Tarso (Andrés Palacios) un policía inteligente, calculador e intuitivo quien la acompañará por el camino del poder, hasta llegar a convertirse en la “reina del crimen organizado”. Poseedora de dos armas muy peligrosas: su belleza y su inteligencia, logra abrirse camino en un mundo muy hostil. Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ 2014 Summer of Service a Success

Initiative Culminates with Washington Shores Neighborhood Improvement Project

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ 2014 Summer of Service will culminate with a month-long neighborhood improvement project benefiting the Washington Shores community. Organized by the Orange County Neighborhood Preservation & Revitalization division, the Fixin’ Up the Neighborhood project is an opportunity for volunteers to directly assist neighbors by painting homes and making small housing repairs. This project in Washington Shores will extend through August 23, 2014.

The Summer of Service initiative, which was started by Mayor Jacobs in 2012 and kicks off the first day of summer, connected community members with Orange County Government divisions and community partner organizations for more than 19 separate volunteer events and opportunities. Throughout the summer, hundreds of participants helped paint and repair homes, clean up green spaces along recreational trails and label storm drains, among other activities.

“Our community is deeply enriched by the selfless service of the thousands of Orange County citizens who so readily give of themselves to help others,” Mayor Jacobs said. “I extend my thanks to all who participated in this year’s Summer of Service projects. By working together to support our neighbors in need and care for our environment, our Summer of Service volunteers are helping to make Orange County a better place in which to live, play and raise a family.”

In addition to the Neighborhood Preservation & Revitalization Division, Orange County Head Start, Regional History Center, Parks and Recreation and the Environmental Protection divisions also participated in the 2014 Summer of Service.  The service opportunities provided by Orange County agencies were offered alongside related opportunities with six Orange County-funded community partners including Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Adult Literacy League, Seniors First, Inc. and Volunteers for Community Impact.
