ENCORE PERFORMING ARTS RETURNS TO THE WALT DISNEY THEATER

Orlando, FL – Encore Performing Arts is excited to return to the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr.Phillips Center for the Performing Arts for the first time since 2018! Performing the comedic musical, Monty Python’s SPAMALOT, Encore will bring together new and returning cast from across the Central Florida area. Featuring principal actors, a large ensemble, a 50+ person choir, and a 20+ person orchestra, the show will run for two evenings: July 8th and 9th at 8pm in the Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets are $25-$85 each and are on sale now!

Based on the classic comedy film, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” Monty Python’s SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur, his trusty servant Patsy, and the Knights of the Round Table. In this hysterical musical, our heroes face flying cows, killer rabbits, and a 50% chance of pestilence and famine. Along the way, they meet many fan-favorite characters from the movie, including the Black Knight, Tim the Enchanter, Not Dead Fred, and the Knights who say Ni. Winner of three Tony® Awards in 2005, including Best Musical, this outrageous, uproarious, and gloriously entertaining show will delight audiences as King Arthur and company search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” Encore Performing Arts is proud to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida for their production of Monty Python's SPAMALOT. Second Harvest Food Bank is driven to close the gap of unmet need in Central Florida in a variety of effective ways. Their mission is to create hope and nourish lives through a powerful hunger relief network, while multiplying the generosity of a caring community. Last year, with the help of numerous donors, volunteers, and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributed enough food for 81 million meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women’s shelters, senior centers, and day care centers. A portion of the proceeds from Encore’s performances of Monty Python’s SPAMALOT will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank to help feed, empower, engage, and nourish the people of Central Florida. Encore is honored to help Second Harvest Food Bank serve our community. Please be aware that this show includes suggestive content, and references to death, violence, and coconuts.
