Manaì Returns to Amway Center on October 28 – First Appearance Since 2015

 

ORLANDO, FLORIDA [June 5, 2023] – Maná announced today México Lindo y Querido Tour will continue this year with eight additional shows across the U.S. Produced by Live Nation, the 38-date tour kicked off on Friday, February 10 in Los Angeles, CA, and the recently-announced dates include a stop at Amway Center on Saturday, October 28, the band’s first Orlando performance since 2015. Tickets for the newly-added shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. ET. 

 

The legendary band recently concluded the first leg of the tour, playing 18 sold-out shows to over 240,000 enthusiastic fans, who, night after night, sang to hits including “Rayando el Sol,” “Clavado En Un Bar,” “Mariposa Traicionera” and many more. The two-hour show features an all-new production and a state-of-the-art video wall. Their tour is a timeless celebration of the group’s love and admiration for Mexico and the multigenerational Latino community. Over three decades, Maná has amassed a diverse audience of fans of all ages that continue to celebrate their music around the globe.

The U.S. run of the México Lindo Y Querido Tour follows Maná’s record-breaking Los Angeles arena residency at The Kia Forum with 14 sold-out shows and over 200,000 tickets sold. To date, they have sold over 330,000 tickets to the México Lindo y Querido Tour across 30 cities, not including the newly-announced shows.  

 

Considered the most influential Latin rock band worldwide, Maná continues to transcend generations with their music. Maná, meaning positive energy in Polynesian, began in 1986 when four friends from Guadalajara, Mexico came together to fuse new rock sounds with Latin and Caribbean rhythms. The group includes Fher Olvera as vocalist, guitarist and main composer, Alex González on drums, Sergio Vallín on lead guitar, and Juan Diego Calleros on bass. The group released their first album, “Falta Amor” in 1990. In 1992, they released “¿Dónde Jugarán los Niños?,” which sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling Spanish-language rock album of all time. 

 

Maná is one of the top-selling Latin touring acts. From their first show in 1993 at the Los Angeles Hollywood Palace, Maná has established themselves as a powerhouse selling millions of albums globally and has released 11 albums of original songs along with several live albums and compilations. Maná’s many accolades include their handprints on the Hollywood Rockwalk and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, making them the first Spanish-language rock band to receive the honor. Their influence and impact also spans beyond music. For 30 years, the Selva Negra Ecological Foundation has been the social arm of Maná, combining conservation and environmental rescue with social development. Throughout their career, the band has been a vocal advocate for issues impacting their fans worldwide. Most recently, the band joined Dr. Anthony Fauci supporting President Joe Biden’s Month of Action to encourage vaccination among the U.S. Latino population.
