‘Worry Dolls’ make their ways onto guests pillows for stress-free sleep

La Palomilla Bed and Breakfast in Mexico City wants guests to leave
their worries behind – at least for the night. The boutique bed and breakfast is tucking in traditional Mexican
‘Worry Dolls’ among pillowtops as part of its turndown service, starting this September.

“We strive to provide a truly authentic and care-free experience,” said Alessandra Pérez-Cirera, owner/innkeeper of La Palomilla in Roma Norte, one of the hippest and safest neighborhoods in the City. “These little muñequitas leave a big impression. You whisper your worries to them at night, as you would a confidant, and you sleep better knowing they’ll work while you rest to ease your troubles.”

The Worry Dolls measure about an inch and are made locally using wool and colorful textile leftovers. The dolls are then dressed in a traditional Mayan style wardrobe. The new dolls are an organic addition to the B&B, which features many vibrant works of art by local artisans and prides itself on sourcing locally-made goods, amenities, and foods. Each guest receives a doll from a trio of dolls during their stay. Guests are encouraged to take their dolls home as a memento and for ongoing stress-relief.

The Worry Dolls join the ‘staff’ of La Palomilla on September 4th and will appear atop pillowtops nightly moving forard.
