Trusst Health Inc announced today that King Arthur Flour is providing messaging-based psychotherapeutic service for mental health treatment to all employees through the
While King Arthur Flour was discussing a partnership with Trusst before the outbreak, COVID-19 hastened the app’s launch due to the need for expanded access to mental health support during the pandemic.
“Our employee owners have been very open with us about how issues related to the COVID-19 are significantly increasing stress and anxiety for themselves and their families,” says Vice President for Human Resources, Cheryl Allen. “The opportunity to provide support through a digital resource while our employee owners are either working from home or very busy working to fulfill orders was very important to us.”
Within hours of launching, King Arthur Flour employees began utilizing the messaging-based app, and now text mental health professionals daily for support. This comes as Trusst doubles the number of mental health professionals available on the app to meet escalating need during COVID-19.
“The complete wellbeing of our employee-owners is simply so important,” adds King Arthur Flour Co-CEO Karen Colberg. “During these incredibly uncertain times, we are grateful to be able to offer this platform that so well supports the health of our team. The ability to provide a service remotely that will help manage the stress and anxiety associated with this pandemic has come at such a critical time.”
Developed by experts in technology, industry, and mental health, the Trusst model of remote intervention is unique because it enables trusted local therapists to provide digital tools that can be used as an independent intervention or in tandem with in-person treatment. Following its launch two months ago, the is now available in 27 states.
“King Arthur Flour joins a rapidly growing number of students and professionals using our app,” says Trusst Founder and President, Bill Hudenko, Ph.D. “Since the outbreak, the usage on our platform has more than doubled and we’ve been working around the clock to meet the mental health demands of people of all ages in need of support. We’re delighted that we can add King Arthur Flour to the organizations we now serve.”
