The Hotel Saugatuck is teaming up with local bakery, Cookies on Call! Baked Goods® to offer guests the opportunity to write a heartfelt note to mom that’s baked inside a delicious cake. “We get a lot of calls from adult children wanting to do something extra special for mom on Mother’s Day,” said Al Heminger,
co-owner of The Hotel Saugatuck. “We’re excited to offer a creative and delicious way to mark the upcoming holiday, particularly now with all the modern day challenges.” Adult children are asked to think back to their most special memory and email their message to The Hotel Saugatuck. They may also choose to handwrite a sentence or two and scan it (or send a clear photo) for the innkeepers to pass along to the bakery to print and bake. These custom mini cakes are baked to perfection with your messaging carefully tucked inside a protective dome. Guests choose the flavor of the six-inch cake, select from buttercream or cream cheese frosting, and edible sprinkles. “These cakes are very fun to bake,” said Abby Nemets, co-owner of Cookies on Call!
