International Hot Glass A New Shopping Attraction is Now Open At Artegon MarketPlace Orlando.

INTERNATIONAL HOT GLASS  IS NOW OPEN AT ARTEGON MARKETPLACE ORLANDO
Guests can partner with professional glass blowers to make their own work of art at this one-of-a-kind working studio

The nation’s first International Hot Glass (IHG) is now open at Artegon Marketplace Orlando, the new shopping attraction and artisan marketplace located on north International Drive. The 4,300-square-foot glass gallery showcases artists from around the world and is also a working studio where guests can partner with a professional glass blower to create their own unique piece of art. Guests can also see demonstrations by professional artists working with state-of-the-art glassblowing equipment.

“There’s no other working glass studio of its kind in Central Florida,” said president, co-owner and nationally prominent glass artist David Sandidge. “We will serve diverse audiences, from professionals and up-and-coming glass artists, to individual and group enthusiasts interested in learning the art, to fans and collectors who enjoy watching glassblowing in action.” Added co-owner and fellow well-known glass artist Brandon Price, “There will always be visually exciting work going on in our studio at Artegon Marketplace.”

In IHG’s gallery, guests can purchase works of art by the co-owners and famous glass artists including Susan Gott, Leon Applebaum, plus other items made from glass, including jewelry and home décor items such as vases, serving bowls and more.

IHG features two forms of glassblowing: traditional off-hand glassblowing and torch- and lamp-working. The studio was designed to comply with the highest in safety measures and to accommodate both individuals and groups. Guests can walk in and sign up for a beginning workshop or make advance reservations. The workshop price starts at $45 per person and guests select from a menu of items to create. All pieces will cool overnight in an annealing oven (necessary to avoid the piece from cracking), then guests can then return to pick up, or arrange for delivery to their hotel or home.
Sandidge anticipates hosting convention and corporate groups for team building workshops, student field trips, scout troops and other group outings, as well as date and girl’s night out events and guest appearances by famous glass artists.

“International Hot Glass is a fantastic addition to Artegon Marketplace, offering another unique immersive, interactive experience for visitors and residents, alike,” said General Manager Thearon Scurlock. “They can create and display at home their own original work of art while making lasting memories of their visit to Orlando and our center.”

International Hot Glass is located inside Artegon Marketplace Orlando at 5250 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. For more information, visit www.internationalhotglass.com Or call 407.345.0561. Like on Facebook.

The glass gallery and studio joins several newcomers to the center, including the June 13th debut of the 19,000-square-foot Gods & Monsters, the first high-end innovative comics and collectibles store of its kind in the country; and the scheduled fall opening of Sky Zone, the second Central Florida location for the indoor trampoline park.
