TELEMUNDO PARTNERS WITH ALLSTATE, L’ORÉAL PARIS, SAMSUNG, VOLKSWAGEN OF AMERICA AND WALMART FOR TONIGHT’S LIVE BROADCAST OF ‘PREMIOS TU MUNDO’TELEMUNDO announced Allstate Insurance Company, L’Oréal Paris, Samsung, Volkswagen and Walmart as sponsors of “Premios Tu Mundo,” honoring the year’s best Hispanic actors, singers and TV moments. The fourth-annual celebration of U.S. Latin pop culture will broadcast live on TELEMUNDO tonight, Thursday, August 20, at 8PM/7c with star-studded musical performances, and will be preceded by the blue carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo” at 7PM/6c, from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

Incorporating live audience participation into “Premios Tu Mundo” for the first time ever, Allstate’s sponsorship will include blue carpet and main show integrations featuring the return of the Effie Award-winning character “Mala Suerte” (“Bad Luck”), who will conduct interviews from the carpet and present the new “El Mejor Protagonista con Mala Suerte” (The Best Unlucky Protagonist) Award with his beautiful co-presenter, novela star Kimberly Dos Ramos. Throughout the blue carpet special and show, viewers will be encouraged to engage in real-time with the live and pre-taped sketches via their digital and mobile devices. Leading up to the event, custom segments for Allstate will air on “Un Nuevo Día” and “Suelta La Sopa.” Other elements of the campaign include on-air tagged tune-ins, a custom web-driver and vignettes to promote voting and participation during the show, a dedicated “Best of Premios Tu Mundo” video channel, and online and mobile co-branded banners. In addition to a presence on the “Premios Tu Mundo” site, Allstate will engage fans via their first-ever Facebook promotion for “Premios Tu Mundo.”
In anticipation of the blue carpet, L’Oréal Paris, the returning exclusive beauty sponsor, will make a special announcement on “Un Nuevo Día” the morning of “Premios Tu Mundo.” The announcement will reveal the selection of three special fans who will receive glamorous makeovers in which their final look will be debuted on the blue carpet. As part of the blue carpet show, L’Oréal Paris will sponsor the “Glamour Spotlight,” showcasing celebrity fashion at the event. In addition, a branded fan experience will allow the blue carpet fans to walk away with special L’Oréal Paris goodie bags. The main show will incorporate a sponsored award for “Protagonista Favorita – Novela” (Favorite Female Novela Character) inclusive of a branded congratulatory bumper. The morning after the event, L’Oréal Paris ambassador, Claudia Betancur, will recap the “Glamour Spotlight” and will also recreate the look of one trendy blue carpet look of the evening using L’Oréal Paris products on “Un Nuevo Día.” Lastly, TELEMUNDO’s entertainment show “Suelta la Sopa” will showcase the best dressed celebrities of the evening.
Now in their third year, Samsung Galaxy partners with “Premios Tu Mundo” to introduce TELEMUNDO’s first-ever “MundoEmoji,” a branded interactive space where celebrity guests will be transformed into a customized emoji version of themselves using the Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen. The custom emojis will then be published real-time via TELEMUNDO's social footprint on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in this social-first initiative.
As the exclusive automotive sponsor, Volkswagen will have novela star Fabian Rios arrive in a 2016 Jetta and will again present the fan’s most anticipated award of the evening, “El Favorito de la Noche” (The Favorite of the Night), which viewers will select during the broadcast. On-air features will include a carpet interview with Fabian Rios about a pre-shot social video and social bump outs promoting award voting. Digital components will include exclusive sponsorship of the ‘Moda’ Section on Telemundo.com, as well as sponsored promotions on Twitter.
Returning as the exclusive retail partner, Walmart’s sponsorship will embrace “momentos inolvidables,” unforgettable moments, and the importance of sharing them with family. Walmart will drive this theme home across key elements of the blue carpet broadcast and main show.
TELEMUNDO’s “Premios Tu Mundo” will be hosted by Angelica Vale, Raul Gonzalez, Gabriel Porras, Maria Elisa Camargo, Rafael Amaya and Carmen Aub, and feature musical performances by Nicky Jam, Paulina Rubio, José Manuel Figueroa, Fanny Lu, Yandel, Alejandra Guzman, Farruko, Lucero, Yuri, Olga Tañon, J Balvin, Jencarlos Canela, Victor Manuelle, Banda MS de Sergio Lizarraga, Regulo Caro and Ky-Mani Marley.
